We meet a lot of people in our day to day lives. There are things which catch focus on forever in our lives. One such incident happened to me during a meeting with my boss.
Its 100% difficult to follow as reacting will ease us more quickly than responding to jerks. But, if we value the relationship with the person more than our pride, we could obviously give it a shot.
However, there are few specimens who knock our nerves to rip them off – for such kind of people this theory will not work except for few hard smacks :P
P.S Thank you Rama :) It was so valuable :)
My boss was walking us through the work materials and during the session, she said a line that goes like “RESPOND; DON’T REACT”. She said it in a client’s point of view. But this very line caught my head ever since she said it.
The phrase (RESPOND; DON’T REACT) is not just for business, it can be attributed to life too. There are many instances where people make us completely annoying and angry and some do it simply out of spite. That’s when it struck me, how easy a problem can be ignored or solved by responding rather than reacting.
